It's been a nice run... but it's time to face the writing on the wall, there simply isn't enough interest to continue onward. Not only are we short nearly 10 GM's... half of those still with us do nothing more than submit a line-up and/or gameplan (that's as much my fault as anyone's). The forums are a ghost town (once again, as much my fault as anyone's)... a shell of itself in what I remember being an area hard to keep up with so as to not miss a funny/witty comment.
Though this ends a run of nearly a decade for The GridIron (originally the "XML"... I believe), something tells me in time there's a chance of a re-birth on down the road. Personally, I have grown tired of Madden 08 and will toy with previous versions in my spare time (which isn't what it was years ago). Hopefully in time I'll find the version of Madden that holds my attention, revisit the rules and structure of a league and eventually seek out 31 engaged participants that want to partake in a start-up league (I'd be HIGHLY interested in adding MANY of the current members).
I want to thank current and past league members... you've made this a VERY enjoyable experience. I welcome anyone who might be interested in a future restart to PM me their contact information so I have a nice head-start in getting a future league off the ground (I'll also post over @ Brad's site http://www.leaguepulse.com/).
A SPECIAL thank you goes out to Kevin, Ricky & Corey (who has moved on some time ago)... with out these 3 this message would have been post so long ago! |
