2010 ROTW: Week 4 |
Clausen Wins QB Battle for ROTW
After a brilliant performance, St.Louis Rams QB Jimmy Clausen narrowly edged out fellow 1st round pick Tony Pike for the Week 4 Pepsi Rookie of the Week award.
Clausen threw for over 400 yards and 4 TDs in a big divisional win over the Seahawks. His QB Rating of 125.2 is one of the best of the 2010 season among all QBs. Despite completing less than 50% of his passes, Clausen consistantly found WR Louis Murphy for big gains, especially on 3rd down.
The former Notre Dame stand-out was taken 8th overall by the Rams as their future face of the franchise. He was ranked as the 2nd best QB going into the Draft but the Rams liked him more than Oklahoma QB Sam Bradford. He's off to a good start to his career and St.Louis has been very happy with his performance and growth.
